This site, cruisewifi.co.uk, is owned and run by me, Sarah — sarah@cruisewifi.co.uk. This policy explains what personal data I collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
What I collect
- If you sign up for my newsletter, I collect your email address.
- Like most websites, I may collect basic technical data about how you use the site (pages visited, browser type, general location) through analytics tools.
- I use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, which sets cookies in your browser.
- Some links on this site are affiliate links (for example to GigSky and Maya Mobile). If you click one, that provider or the affiliate network that runs their programme sets a cookie on their own site, so they can credit me if you buy. I don’t receive your name or payment details.
- The site doesn’t show display adverts at the moment. If I add them, I’ll update this policy first.
Why I collect it
- To send you the newsletter you’ve signed up for.
- To understand how people use the site so I can improve it.
- To keep the site running. It’s funded through affiliate links: if you buy through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Legal basis
I rely on your consent where you’ve actively signed up (e.g. the newsletter), and on legitimate interest for basic site analytics needed to run the site properly.
Sharing your data
I don’t sell your data. I may share it with service providers who help me run the site — for example, an email newsletter platform, or analytics/advertising tools like Google. These only receive what they need to do their job.

Signing up is opt-in — I won’t add you without your permission. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email I send.
How long I keep it
Only as long as necessary for the reasons above, or until you ask me to delete it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask to see, correct, or delete the data I hold about you, or withdraw consent at any time. Email me at sarah@cruisewifi.co.uk. If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled something, you can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
